Reichbach and Beyond - "The Final Problem" Revisited

The 2017 Reichenbach Irregulars conference “Reichenbach and Beyond – The Final Problem Revisited” attracted almost 70 Sherlockians from across the globe and offered an exciting program with distinguished speakers and dramatic excursions. Although not everything went according to plan – genuinely irregular, as we from The Reichenbach Irregulars always say – we believe it was another successful excursion in alpine heights.

Have a look at our conference report, two personal accounts in form of a report and illustrations as well and the diary of an alpine crossing from Hasliberg Reuti to Florence!

  • The conference report by Marsha Pollak, accompanied with photographs taken by Hiroko Nakashima.
  • A very personal account by David Richards of his very first encounter with Sherlockians from across the globe (to follow).
  • A very unique memory of our conference, a collection of fine illustrations drawn by French Sherlockian and illustrator Jean Paul Cabot.
  • The diary by Enrico Solito of the alpine excursion from Hasliberg to Florence, organised by Brigitte Latella, to join the conference organised by Uno Studio in Sherlock Holmes in Florence a week after our conference.
And in case you have missed it all, do not worry. There is another chance to meet Sherlockians in Switzerland soon.  Just keep an eye on our website. The Reichenbach Irregulars organise a new conference in spring / early summer of 2019 in the Bernese Oberland to celebrate our 30th anniversary and – if all goes according to plan – we will also offer an additional excursion to the Splügen Pass where Baron von Gruner murdered his wife.
